Mini Apple Pie Bites


Description

Delightful mini pies with buttery crusts filled with sweet, cinnamon-kissed apples, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of pre-made pie crusts
  • 23 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice, mixing until the apples are evenly coated.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts on a floured surface and cut them into small circles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle—be sure not to overfill!
  5. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Once out of the oven, let cool slightly and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Don’t overmix the apple filling to keep the apples from breaking down too much. Test for doneness by looking for a golden color and bubbling filling.
