Neiman Marcus Cake


Description

A deliciously moist and chocolatey cake perfect for gatherings or self-care days, embellished with walnuts and rich chocolate flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined (don’t overmix!).
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or for a week in the refrigerator. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
