Description
A flavorful and easy one-pan dish combining sweet honey and savory soy sauce enveloping juicy chicken thighs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs (skin-on or skinless)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create a delicious marinade.
- Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a beautiful golden brown color.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the pan with the chicken and let it simmer for a few minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions for an added touch of freshness.
Notes
Enjoy the chicken over rice or with steamed vegetables. It also makes a great filling for tacos or topping for salads.
