One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken

Description

A flavorful and easy one-pan dish combining sweet honey and savory soy sauce enveloping juicy chicken thighs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs (skin-on or skinless)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create a delicious marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place it in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a beautiful golden brown color.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade into the pan with the chicken and let it simmer for a few minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions for an added touch of freshness.

Notes

Enjoy the chicken over rice or with steamed vegetables. It also makes a great filling for tacos or topping for salads.
