Description
A comforting and creamy pasta dish with toasted garlic and melted Parmesan, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (480 ml) milk (whole or 2% recommended)
- 1 cup (about 100 g) Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the pasta to the pot and pour in the milk, stirring to combine. Ensure the pasta is mostly submerged; add a splash of water if needed.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until the pasta is tender, about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add more milk or pasta cooking water to loosen it.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For vegan version, use unsweetened plant milk and vegan Parmesan. If sauce separates, whisk in a tablespoon of warm milk to bring it back together.
