Pecan Pie Brownies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  10. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
