Description
Delicious mozzarella sticks filled with pepperoni, coated in seasoned breadcrumbs, and fried to golden perfection.

- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half and press a pepperoni slice onto each piece.
- In three separate bowls, set out the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning.
- Dredge each cheese stick in flour, dip it in the eggs, and then coat it evenly with the seasoned breadcrumbs.
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until it’s shimmering but not smoking.
- Fry the breaded cheese sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Drain the fried sticks on paper towels and serve hot with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture.
