Instructions
- Toast the slices of whole-grain bread until golden brown.
- While the bread is toasting, cut the ripe avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a small bowl.
- Using a fork, mash the avocado to your desired creaminess.
- Add olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix well.
- Spread the mashed avocado evenly over each slice of toast.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes on top and garnish with fresh basil or cilantro if desired.
