Quick Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese Appetizer Dip and Bites


Description

Delicious mini phyllo shells filled with creamy cheese and topped with sweet red pepper jelly, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (15-count) mini phyllo shells
  • 4 oz (113 g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) red pepper jelly
  • Fresh thyme leaves or chopped green onion, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange the mini phyllo shells in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of softened cream cheese into each shell.
  4. Top each filled shell with about 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper jelly.
  5. Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the phyllo shells are crisp and the cream cheese is lightly warmed.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with fresh thyme leaves or a sprinkle of chopped green onion, if using.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For lower calories, consider using reduced-fat cream cheese. Assemble right before baking to keep shells as crisp as possible.
