Ingredients

- 4 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
- In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt, mixing well.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, and raisins if using.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm or chilled.
Notes
Stir gently to avoid breaking the rice grains. Serve with toppings like butter or cinnamon for an extra treat.
