Delightful bars combining rich maple syrup and crunchy pecans, perfect for any occasion.

			- 1 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 cup pecans, chopped
 - 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for topping)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish lightly.
 - In a medium bowl, combine flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly, then press it into the bottom of your prepared baking dish to form a crust.
 - Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
 - In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
 - Stir in the chopped pecans and pour the filling evenly over the baked crust.
 - Sprinkle sea salt over the top liberally.
 - Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, until the filling is set and no longer wobbly.
 - Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
 
Notes
For an extra touch, serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can store at room temperature for 3 days or in the fridge for a week.
