- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and thyme; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the rice and stir to coat in the oil and spices evenly.
- Pour in the water and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
