			- 2 medium sweet potatoes
 - 1/2 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free alternative)
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
 - 1/4 teaspoon paprika
 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
 - Oil for frying (or cooking spray for baking)
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a deep fryer.
 - Peel and boil the sweet potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool.
 - In a bowl, mash the cooked sweet potatoes until smooth.
 - Add flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese (if using). Mix until just combined – avoid overmixing.
 - Shape the mixture into small tots using your hands.
 - For baking, place tots on a lined baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking spray. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown. For frying, cook them in hot oil until golden brown on each side.
 - Serve warm with your preferred dipping sauce, such as ranch or chipotle mayo.
 
Notes
For an even crispier texture, consider using a mixture of sweet potato and regular potato. Ensure that sweet potatoes are well-drained after boiling.
