Sweet and Savory Glazed Baked Cauliflower

Description

A delightful blend of sweet honey and savory soy creates tender, caramelized cauliflower florets—a perfect side for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets (about 600 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (maple for vegan)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; whisk until well blended.
  3. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly.
  4. Spread the coated cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a deeper glaze, brush additional honey or maple on during the last 5 minutes of roasting, then broil briefly. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven.
