A comforting and flavorful dish combining tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sesame sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

- 1 lb (454 g) beef, sliced thinly (flank, sirloin, or skirt steak)
- 2 cups broccoli florets (about 150–200 g)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (use low-sodium if preferred)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced (about 3 cloves)
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth (low-sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted if possible)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In the Instant Pot, combine beef, broccoli, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Toss briefly to coat.
- Mix cornstarch with beef broth until smooth, then pour the slurry evenly over the beef and broccoli.
- Close the Instant Pot lid and set to Manual/Pressure Cook on high for 10 minutes.
- Once the cook time is complete, perform a quick release.
- Stir in sesame seeds and check the sauce consistency; if needed, switch to Sauté and simmer for 1–2 minutes to thicken.
- Serve immediately over hot cooked rice and sprinkle with extra sesame seeds or sliced scallions.
Notes
Choose low-sodium soy sauce and broth to lower sodium content. For vegan versions, use tofu and vegetable broth.
