Crispy outside and soft inside, these Veg Lollipops are bursting with flavors of garlic, spices, and creamy paneer, making them a delightful snack for any occasion.

- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 1/2 cup chopped capsicum
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander
- 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
- 1/2 cup grated paneer
- 5 slices of bread (white or brown)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup maida (all-purpose flour) + water + salt (for slurry)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped vegetables, ginger garlic paste, spices (red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt), chopped coriander, boiled potatoes, and grated paneer. Mix well to form a cohesive mixture.
- Take a slice of bread and flatten it using a rolling pin. Cut into shapes suitable for lollipops like circles or squares.
- Take a portion of the vegetable mixture and shape it into small balls or your desired shape, then insert a stick into each ball.
- Prepare the slurry by mixing maida with a little water and a pinch of salt. Dip each lollipop in the slurry and then roll it in bread crumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the lollipops until they turn golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
These lollipops can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator or frozen un-fried for up to 2 months.
