Yakisoba Noodles

Description

A delicious and savory Japanese street food stir-fry featuring yakisoba noodles, fresh vegetables, and your choice of meat or tofu.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g yakisoba noodles
  • 150g sliced pork, chicken, or tofu
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons yakisoba sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the sliced pork or chicken to the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until it is browned and cooked through.
  4. Incorporate the cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, and green onions. Stir-fry for about another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet retain some crunch.
  5. Add the cooked yakisoba noodles and yakisoba sauce to the skillet. Toss everything together gently to ensure even coating. Cook for another 2 minutes until heated thoroughly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding sesame oil or chili flakes for extra flavor. Ensure vegetables are cut uniformly for even cooking.
